H. BrittenĀ
Harry Britten was born in 1894 at Penrith. His father, Harry Britten (1870-1954), was the well known entomologist who worked at the Manchester Museum for many years. Harry junior was also an entomologist and was particularly interested in the Tephritidae. He is known to have collected from Kent. He died at Ledbury, Herefordshire in 1976. One specimen was contributed to the LNHS gall collection. (Thanks to Peter Chandler for information on H. Britten)
